How much thought have you given to the general idea that with capitalism in crisis in the Core, socdem technocracy will fail inevitably and any leftist unlucky enough to take power will only accrue blame and set back the movement even further? I often have a hunch that this is true. Maybe you call yourself Promethean out of a well reasoned conviction that it is not true?

Capitalism is not in crisis for some structural reason internal to its logic, but due to a historically specific convergence of rent-seeking elites who have foreclosed economic growth and dynamism. Socialists in government must attempt to unleash productive forces of both the market and state or they will be thrown out of power. The successful experience of MORENA and the PT vs. the failure of the Boric government is illustrative.

That's a lot of conviction for a 22-year-old 😼. I have more trust in the generations of Marxists who have all averred that capitalism *is* in crisis for some structural reason internal to its logic. Also MORENA and PT are not particularly hegemonic, it wasn't long ago Bolsonaro won an election if memory serves.

Anyway, why do you think socialists in government (which the socdems of Mexico and Brazil arguably are not) *can* unleash productive forces of both the market and the state at present? Lastly, I've followed you on X, much obliged if you'd consider following me @goblinpunditry and checking out various replies to you that I've made on there. X seems to think I'm an Iranian bot or something
